Mr 2Kay and VJ Ehiz on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10
Hip hop artist and YBNL Nation CEO Olamide has hit the top spot on the MTV Base Official Naija Top Ten powered by Star Music!
The number one song for the week, ‘Turn Up‘, replaced Wizkid’s ’Jaiye Jaiye‘ which dropped to number two after spending two weeks in first place.
This week’s artiste at number 5, Mr 2Kay, made a guest appearance on the show with MTV VJ Ehiz, where he talked about his music video for ‘Bugugaga Remix‘ and gave his personal opinion on the hottest music videos in the Nigerian music scene.
DJ Xclusive is the week’s biggest climber, up two places to number 6 with ‘Pangolo‘.
Other chart climbers include Banky W whose ‘Jasi‘ climbed to number 8 and Sean Tizzle, up one place to number 9 with ‘Komole‘.
This week’s only new entry is Jesse Jagz Feat. Wizkid with ‘Bad Girl‘, making its chart debut at number 10.

of Nigerian broadcasters, music specialists and taste-makers, working
with MTV Base to pick the winners and losers in the week’s chart. On the
panel are DJ Humility (Rhythm FM), DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Xclusive (Cool FM), Big Time (Rhythm FM), DJ Caise (The Beat FM), Toolz (The Beat FM) and Osagie Alonge (Nigerian Entertainment Today).
The MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 premieres on NTA
every Friday night at 11:30 PM (WAT). The chart rundown can be seen on
MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) every Tuesday at 10 PM (WAT), on AIT on Tuesdays at 9.30 pm (WAT), and on STV on Thursdays at 6 pm (WAT). Next week’s chart will be unveiled on Friday 21 February on NTA at 11:30 pm (WAT).
