Chris Brown Gives 1,000 Pairs Of Shoes To Kids At Charity Event [PICTURED]

chris-brown-charity-event-lead1 Chris Brown spread the love in Compton, Calif. on July 20 as his Symphonic Love Foundation teamed up with the WE US charity to donate more than a thousand pairs of shoes to underprivileged children.
The singer spent July 20 serving the public, going to Campanella Park in Compton, Calif. where he gave more than a thousand pairs of sneakers to underprivileged and at-risk children.

Chris Brown put a smile on every single child’s face as his Symphonic Love Foundation and WE US (Walk Everywhere in Unity’s Shoes project) gave away over one thousand pairs of brand new Reebok Classics to Compton’s at-risk children. The message they wanted to convey is simple, reminding young, at-risk kids that whenever and wherever they walk, they are a united community.
Growing up in the “hood,” Chris says, connects him to many of those faces he sees in Compton. He says he believes it’s his “duty” to give back to those less fortunate.
“I grew up as one of those kids who was brought up in gangs and had to be one of the bad kids so to speak,” Chris Brown , 24, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “Being able to see the looks on these kid’s faces,” Chris says as he begins to get choked up, “it’s just about uplifting and bringing everybody together.”
