Michelle Obama inspires African youths on MTV Base

First lady of the United States of America, Michelle Obama is the latest guest to appear on MTV Base’s ground breaking TV series, ‘MTV Base Meets’.

Obama meets with MTV base VJ, Sizwe Dhlomo and four potential South African leaders of tomorrow who were hand-picked.

They include Grade 10 student, Mirriam Kgokane, Aubrey Baloyi (Grade 12), 16 year old Teboho Tenyane and Grade 11 student, Keamogetswe Rakgodi from Johannesburg. R&B superstar, John Legend joined the students from Los Angeles to participate while singer and actress Victoria Justice beamed in from Houston.

Filmed at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre in Newton, Johannesburg on Saturday June 29, 2013  during the Obama State visit to South Africa, the ‘MTV Base Meets Michelle Obama’ will premiere  to 52 territories across Sub-Sahara Africa on MTV Base (DStv channel 322) on Friday, 19 July,17:00 CAT.
