Ace Yoruba actor, Olukayode Olugbenga Odumosu popularly known as Pa Kasumu is right now struggling for his life.
The 60-year old actor was recently admitted at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for complications arising from a kidney and liver disease.
Speaking to NET correspondent in a telephone conversation, the ailing actor’s son, Tunde Odumosu confirmed the news, asking for the support of Nigerians.
‘He is very sick right now. The
doctors say he has a disease complication that has spread from his
kidney to his heart and liver. The doctors are afraid it might spread
further to other organs in the body. We are hoping that we can get
well-meaning Nigerians to help raise funds so that he can get proper
treatment‘, Tunde Odumosu said.
Sources say Pa Kasumu’s ailment began in
2009 and he has since been undergoing series of diagnostic tests and
costly medications that have eaten deep into his pockets. Now the family
is trying to raise about N12million for the surgical process.
Ogun State-born Kasumu has had about 4o
years run in the Nigerian film industry featuring in several Yoruba and
English films and television series.
